Aims and Scope
Botanical Transaction is a peer reviewed
international journal. It publishes original research articles and reviews on
botanical studies with interest in plant ecology, vegetation and flora,
biogeography, biosystematics, evolutionary biology, population biology,
ecophysiology and functional ecology of plants and vegetation, and on
interactions of plants with plants, animals or microorganisms. Botanical
Transactions aim to bridges the gap between pure and applied botany by focusing
on the uses of plants by people. Other areas covered by journal include but not
limited to
1-Responses of plants to heavy metals and pollutants
2-Plant/water interactions (salinity, drought, flooding)
3-Responses of plants to radiations ranging from UV-B to infrared
4-Plant/atmosphere relations (ozone, CO2 , temperature)
5-Ecophysiology of Northern plants under global change and environmental
stress
6-Biotic interactions involving environmental factors
We aim at contributions that explore plant biological phenomena in order
to understand functionally ongoing ecological, evolutionary or physiological
processes.Descriptive or applied studies are acceptable, provided that clear
research questions are addressed and that findings are presented in a context
fitting the scope of the journal. Articles must be relevant for an international
readership.

Author Representations
Submission of a manuscript implies: that the work described has not been
published before; that it is not under consideration for publication anywhere
else; that its publication has been approved by all co¬authors, if any, as well
as by the responsible authorities — tacitly or explicitly — at the institute
where the work has been carried out. The publisher will not be held legally
responsible should there be any claims for compensation.
Permissions
Authors wishing to include figures, tables, or text passages that have
already been published elsewhere are required to obtain permission from the
copyright owner(s) for both the print and online format and to include evidence
that such permission has been granted when submitting their papers. Any material
received without such evidence will be assumed to originate from the authors.
Online Submission
Authors should submit their manuscripts online via the ASRE website at: http:///www.asre.res.in
Hard copy submissions are no longer accepted. Detail Guidelines can be
downloadedhere.
Review Policy:
All papers submitted to our journals go through a rigorous review process.
They are refereed by experts in said field before publication. There exist four
possible outcomes for each paper submitted and reviewed: acceptance, acceptance
after minor revision, major revision and re-submission, or rejection. This
prevents the promulgation of pseudoscience and insures intellectual and
scientific integrity of the findings published by SEP. The Editor-in-Chief is
the first to see an author's work. They are to forward the paper to experts in
the specific field discussed in the paper for review. After review, the
Editor-in-Chief of the journal will look over the reviewer's comments. If two
reviewers seem to hold opposite opinions of the same paper, the controversy will
be resolved by the Editor-in-Chief. Ultimately, the Editor-in-Chief makes the
final decision. The final decision is being one of the aforementioned
possibilities: acceptance, acceptance with noted changes, or rejection of paper.
We are also looking forward to offering an online journal club for each journal.
This will allow a further platform for peer commendation or critique.
