Aims and Scope
WST publishes original scientific research findings of wood
material science, wood components, conversion of wood into pulp, biorefinery
products and wood based products and relevant methodological developments. The
scope include but not limited to research in the fields of wood quality, wood
biology, mechanical and technological properties, processes, uses, wood physics
and chemistry. Research advances in areas of wood based products, structural
applications and composite materials, cell wall and wood formation; structural
and chemical composition of wood and wood composites and their property
relations; physical, mechanical and chemical characterization and
microbiological degradation of wood and wood based products are the primary
research focus fields.
Types of paper that are published in Wood Science Transactions:
1. Original research papers. The papers should report the results of
original research and should not have been previously published elsewhere or
submitted for review.
2. Review articles. Review articles are encouraged. The most useful
reviews go beyond summarizing the literature and focus on synthesizing key
insights that will be most useful to readers.
3. Papers for Special Issues. Wood Science Transactionspublishes research
on advance topics to present new research in different fields.

Asiatic Society for Research and Engineering,
Dr. Anshul Chandra has been extensively working in field of multiple uses
of forests: valuation of non-marketed goods and services, cost-benefit analysis
of environment and timber production, external effects of forestry and forest
industries. Dr. Chandra is also working extensively in bio preservatives and
Bamboo preservation, cultivation and low cost product development.
Submission of a manuscript implies: that the work described has not been
published before; that it is not under consideration for publication anywhere
else; that its publication has been approved by all co¬authors, if any, as well
as by the responsible authorities — tacitly or explicitly — at the institute
where the work has been carried out. The publisher will not be held legally
responsible should there be any claims for compensation.
Authors wishing to include figures, tables, or text passages that have
already been published elsewhere are required to obtain permission from the
copyright owner(s) for both the print and online format and to include evidence
that such permission has been granted when submitting their papers. Any material
received without such evidence will be assumed to originate from the authors.
Authors should submit their manuscripts online via the ASRE website at: http:///www.asre.res.in
Hard copy submissions are no longer accepted. Detail Guidelines can be
All papers submitted to our journals go through a rigorous review process.
They are refereed by experts in said field before publication. There exist four
possible outcomes for each paper submitted and reviewed: acceptance, acceptance
after minor revision, major revision and re-submission, or rejection. This
prevents the promulgation of pseudoscience and insures intellectual and
scientific integrity of the findings published by SEP. The Editor-in-Chief is
the first to see an author's work. They are to forward the paper to experts in
the specific field discussed in the paper for review. After review, the
Editor-in-Chief of the journal will look over the reviewer's comments. If two
reviewers seem to hold opposite opinions of the same paper, the controversy will
be resolved by the Editor-in-Chief. Ultimately, the Editor-in-Chief makes the
final decision. The final decision is being one of the aforementioned
possibilities: acceptance, acceptance with noted changes, or rejection of paper.
We are also looking forward to offering an online journal club for each journal.
This will allow a further platform for peer commendation or critique.
